Rumors in current days have emerged alleging Peak Design aided in his arrest, and the corporate’s CEO now formally denies this.
The guman, now allegedly Luigi Mangione, is in custody and a number of rumors and conspiracy theories have been circulating that try to clarify some perceived inconsistencies within the story of his arrest. One main allegation that has come up within the final day on Threads and TikTok (hyperlinks via The Verge) is that Peak Design CEO Peter Dering volunteered info of the bag’s purchaser by tracing its proprietor through its serial quantity, inflicting widespread backlash in opposition to him and the model.
